MicroStation V8 XM Graphics Benchmark
Description
The MicroStation V8 XM Graphics Benchmark is a stand-alone application that gives an indication of how well MicroStation V8 XM Edition will perform on your computer. The benchmark collects information about your system, and runs a series of graphics tests designed to test important aspects of your video card related to MicroStation V8 XM Edition. Tests run for approximately 30 seconds on each monitor. Your results can either be saved to your local computer or submitted to Bentley.

Information Collected
- Submission date and time
- Operating system name, build, and service pack version
- CPU name, architecture, and maximum clock speed
- Number of logical processors (includes multi-core and hyper-threaded systems)
- Amount of RAM
- System model name and manufacturer
- User comments (optional)
- Video card name
- Amount of Video RAM
- Primary video resolution, color depth, and number of monitors
- Video card driver version and date
- For each graphics test, the FPS (frames per second)
How we use this information
No personally identifiable information is sent with your submission (unless you opt to place it in the comments field). The data in the submission helps Bentley and other users gauge the performance of video cards and systems for MicroStation V8 XM Edition. This information can be used for diagnostic purposes, as well as indicating video cards and systems that perform well. This information is treated in accordance with our privacy policy (available from http://www.bentley.com/en-US/Corporate/Privacy+Policy.htm) and will be made publicly and freely available.

Results
The results of the MicroStation V8 XM Graphics Benchmark are meant to give an indication of how well MicroStation V8 XM Edition will likely perform on your computer. A low result does not necessarily mean MicroStation V8 XM Edition will run poorly on your computer, nor does it mean your video card and/or system is inferior. The benchmark's tests do not mimic user interaction exactly, nor do they account for other factors such as large design files or running MicroStation-based applications. Please use them as rough guidelines for evaluating systems.
The most common reason for poor graphic performance is out-of-date graphic card drivers. It is strongly recommended that you check the website of your computer vendor or graphic card manufacturer for the latest updates to the drivers for your graphic card.
